So I kinda want to produce a duet album with a singer. I’ve put out the word and dropped a few lines, hoping to secure a female lead. I’ve heard back from one friend of mine (who I won’t name since nothing’s set in stone). I also doodled up an idea for an album cover. Negative space rocks.

All my favourite lyrics: I wrote them.
And I’m sure every other songwriter feels the same way. I mean, when we write, it’s (usually) because there isn’t already a song that expresses the same thought/sentiment/idea and it’s one that desperately needs to be shared. Usually.
Clearly, this isn’t the case with “YOUUUUU (CRANK DAT SOULJA BOYY)!” but you get what I mean.

So He's a DJ Now?
Yep. So it seems. No, I haven’t dropped that $1700 or so on the NS7 I’m still considering but I have been invited to spin a set at a friend of mine’s party. He’s got the full setup so all I gotta do is bring the tunes and mix. I’ll be at his place for the better part of tomorrow practising. More accurately: pulling out my hair at how frustrating it is that I haven’t the skill and/or experience to make my setlist do what I want it to.
Or who knows? Maybe I’ll be able to do EXACTLY what I have in mind as I put together this setlist. Perhaps I’ll make some welcome mistakes that do wicked stuff. Every good set has a hype, followed by a cool-down, followed by a show-off-your-musical-range spot, followed by a VERY QUICK build up and topped off with a killer finish. That part is easy. I’ve seen more than enough DJs in my years and put together enough travel playlists to have that on lock. How I transition it is the hard/fun part :)

I Need Money, therefore...
I’m considering doing up a Munny doll (or multiple) to sell. I’ve found that a lot of my favourite low-budget artists (visual and musical) usually end up selling stuff to pay for their craft. Unfortunately, I just really don’t have a whole lot to begin with so that’s really not an option.
But before I make this investment into startup capital, who would be interested in buying one from me? Take into account that after customisation, I’ll probably let these go for in the neighbourhood of $50USD. Also, I live between Toronto and Cayman so if you’re lucky enough to be in either of these, you can probably avoid shipping. Otherwise, you’ve gotta fork up for that too.
