Some motion graphics I’ve been tinkering with, unifying my sound design work with some design. I took a bunch of things I learnt from Video Copilot and tried to utilise them in one piece.

Audio is from my song “Customers”.

In Less Pleasant News...

I know I promised the release of The Phoebe EP by the end of the year but unless I write, produce and record two and a half more songs on Tuesday, I highly doubt that’s going to happen.  But you can certainly expect it for early 2010!  Dare I even say, January?  So yeah.  Apologies for the delay but, you know, school and stuff.

2009 is almost over

And I’ve gotta say, I’m well pleased with the way it’s turned out.  2007 and 2008 had real potential to be phenomenal years but there was always something real petty, but real major, that screwed things up.  However, I haven’t really come across any of that this year.  In fact, 2009 has been a year of great personal progress for me and I can only hope 2010 will continue with this trend of onward and upward.

This could very well be live in 2010.  The plan is for Tumblr, Twitter, Cargo, Vimeo, Flickr and Big Cartel integration.  It’ll certainly save me printing/packaging on résumés/portfolios.  What a wonderful web we live in.

So I kinda want to produce a duet album with a singer.  I’ve put out the word and dropped a few lines, hoping to secure a female lead.  I’ve heard back from one friend of mine (who I won’t name since nothing’s set in stone).  I also doodled up an idea for an album cover.  Negative space rocks.
If there’s any female R&B-esque vocalists in the Toronto and/or Cayman area, link me one time!

All my favourite lyrics: I wrote them.

And I’m sure every other songwriter feels the same way.  I mean, when we write, it’s (usually) because there isn’t already a song that expresses the same thought/sentiment/idea and it’s one that desperately needs to be shared.  Usually.

Clearly, this isn’t the case with “YOUUUUU (CRANK DAT SOULJA BOYY)!” but you get what I mean.

P.S. in case you were wondering, I write raps but I also write for other musicians of other genres.  Jsyk.
